God loves you and wants you as a follower of His Son Jesus to grow in your faith. For reasons in God's wisdom, part of yours and my growth in Christian maturity is through friendships.
So it is a wise man or woman who connects regularly with a small group. Here we call those Life Groups, but the general format is meet in a casual atmosphere in order to discuss and to pursue growing in faith.
This idea of not being a "Lone Ranger" is found in the Bible, as even the New Testament church met house to house like this for prayer, fellowship meals, and thinking of how to apply Scripture to their life situations (Acts 2).
- Life Groups here are 6 to 15 people in similar life situations who meet for those above reasons.
- These are a wonderful way to go beyond "hello" and get to know other Christ followers.
- Life Groups meet most weeks each month during a Term (Fall/Spring).
There's also an opportunity to change your Life Group based on times/schedule in those new terms that come in January & June each term.
WHERE DO I GET INFO TO CHECK THEM OUT?
Stop by the welcome booth, called the "Next Steps Center", right by the entry doors any Sunday morning.
Alternatively, you can feel free to ask for more info from any pastor, staff or Life Group leader.
"No perfect people allowed," applies in Life Groups as well. We'll see you this next week!
