Kevin Rond became the Student Pastor in July 2024. He grew up in Allen, Texas and has stayed close to the area besides a short stint in Oklahoma where he joined the Oklahoma National Guard as a Chaplain’s Assistant in 2006. He is still currently serving in his role. He and his wife, Sara have led Marriage Ministry for the last 5 years while also serving in multiple ministries at their previous church including Students, Kids, Safety and Security.
Kevin and Sara have been married for over 12 years and have 2 children, Noah and Avery. Kevin studied at Texas Baptist College in Fort Worth and will restart his academics in January of 2025. Once finished with his Bachelors in Christian Studies, he will pursue a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling. Kevin desires to lead high school and middle school students in a way they can discover their own faith and become leaders in the church and Christian community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends playing board games and likes disc golf and fishing.
